EVENT: EMPOWERING MINISTRIES OF HEALTH CONFERENCE

   Church leaders, clergy, health educators, and parish nurses are encouraged to attend the Empowering Ministries of Health conference, September 21-23, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The conference, sponsored by The United Methodist Church, will provide participants the opportunity to share information about successful health ministries; provide practical tools for developing a health ministry; and help participants to create a culture of wellness throughout the church.

International UMC Conference HIV/AIDS PDF Print E-mail

EVENT: LIGHTEN THE BURDEN III

   What is the church's role in responding to the HIV/AIDS crisis? How do women with HIV/AIDS approach family planning? How do young people engage the topic of HIV in their generation? These are some of the topics to be explored at the upcoming Lighten the Burden III and international United Methodist Conference on HIV/AIDS sponsored by United Methodist Global AIDS Fund with support from several United Methodist general agencies.

   The purpose of Lighten the Burden III is to help create an AIDS-free world through ACTION: Advocacy, Combating HIV, Training, Increasing awareness, Overcoming apathy, and Nurturing a Christ-centered and church-oriented global health initiative.)
