Ballet Magnificat! At Cornerstone Church
With high-energy programs and powerful delivery, Ballet Magnificat!, shatters the stereotypical image of ballet. Featuring Kathy Thibodeaux, silver medalist at the second USA International Ballet Competition, this internationally acclaimed touring company will be dancing at Cornerstone Church, 1675 84th Street SE, in Caledonia, at 3pm on Sunday, September 19th. This drama is loosely based on the Biblical account of Rahab and is set against the gray background of the communist Soviet Union. Rev. Sandra VandenBrink, pastor at Bradley-Salem UM Indian Mission Churches along with her husband Trevor Matthews are walking across England to raise funds for the PaWaTing MeGedWin Kikaajik Native American Elders Program. This is a lunch program that provides meals to Urban Indians in the Greater Grand Rapids area. The program is sponsored by Bradley and Salem United Methodist Indian Mission Churches in Allegan County. Please feel free to print pledge sheets to share with your friends, colleagues and church families. This is a confidential support group for those experiencing the struggles and challenges of infertility and meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7pm in The Vine. Meetings include speakers, doctors, videos, support and fellowship. Husbands are specifically invited to 1 or 2 meetings a year. Enhance Fitness with the YMCA
Enhance Fitness is a new YMCA class that meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Courtland-Oakfield United Methodist Church, 10295 Myers Lake Ave., in Rockford. Instructors for the class are from the Wolverine World Wide Family YMCA staff. On Thursdays Jeff Williams, pastor at Courland-Oakfield and White Pines UMCs, leads a Bible study from Noon-1:00pm.
